Hello and welcome! My name is Dr. Ayşe Çiftçi. I am the Training Director of the Counseling Psychology program at Purdue University.

I was born and raised in Turkey where I attended Middle East Technical University and got my undergraduate and Masters degrees. I moved to the United States for my doctoral program at the University of Memphis, Tennessee in 2002.  After graduating in 2006, I moved to Purdue University as an Assistant Professor in the Counseling Psychology program.

My research interests lie in multicultural issues, cross cutural psychology, immigration, international students, and psychology well being. I enjoy taking an active role in research, teaching, and professional engagement. The best part of my job is advising the next generation of counseling psychologists on my research team!
